The Srishti Management felt the need for there to be another avenue of sustaining livelihood for the specially-abled young adults who were seeking employment through Aranya Natural - the DyeHouse & Athulya Paper Studio.
There were a number of hearing and speech impaired craftspeople who were loosing or had no interest in textiles or paper making.
The Food industry welcomed the hearing and speech impaired.
Our Story
A new opportunity is birthed…
Srishti Trust initiated the creation of “The Deli” in 2009 and facilitated the opportunity for the specially-abled with hearing and speech impairment to undergo professional training at the Taj President Mumbai in the shadow of the Chef Ananda Solomon, the Corporate Executive Chef for the Taj Business Hotels.

Our people @ The Deli have been an inspiration to all the others who work in Srishti and
the patisserie at the Deli is the place where celebrations come together be it a birthday, an anniversary or simply a day of cheer at Srishti.
The Deli has become the place to go in Munnar community for their daily breakfast nourishment and nibbles.
The community of plantation families have been our patrons along with the business families of the hill town.
The Kurinji - The Gift Shop and Café, located in heart of town, is an offspring which has in the recent years been pinned to the tourist map.
